Product Description
The PTO Power Take-Off assembly for the PC1250-8 excavator is responsible for transmitting engine power to the hydraulic pump system. It is compatible with the PC1250-8, PC1250LC-8, PC1250SP-8, and PC1250-8R models.
Symptom
Continuous humming / rattling metal noise from pump compartment; noise becomes louder under heavy digging load.
Causes
  • Worn bearings, raceway pitting, broken bearing cage
  • Pitting, spalling or broken teeth on driving / driven gears
  • Insufficient gear oil or metal debris inside oil, poor lubrication
  • Misalignment between pump flange and transfer case, uneven gear load
Warning: If metal chips found in oil, continuous operation will destroy transfer case and main pump input splines.
