Excavator Hydraulic Pump 708-1S-00260, 708-1S-00270, 708-1S-00254 Komatsu PC30MR-2 / PC27MR-2 Main Piston Pump Pressure Pump

The PC30MR-2 is a Komatsu mini crawler excavator. The hydraulic main pump is a main variable displacement piston pump. Common part numbers on the same platform: 708-1S-00260 / 708-1S-00270 / 708-1S-00254 (common to PC30MR-2 / PC27MR-2), plus a separate pilot gear pump.

Common Faults
  • Weak movement / slow operation: Internal leakage from worn main pump pistons/valve plate/slippers, reduced volumetric efficiency; insufficient pilot pump pressure causing abnormal displacement control.
  • Pump abnormal noise / squealing: Insufficient suction or air ingress, contaminated oil, internal pump wear.
  • Engine lugging / speed drop under load: Seized regulator/power control spool; pump stays at large displacement and absorbs excessive power.
