Excavator Hydraulic Pump 708-25-04051 708-25-04014 20Y-60-X1261

Main piston pump compatible with Komatsu PC200-5, PC210-5, PC240-5, and PC270-5 excavator models.

Common Faults & Solutions
  • Weak operation when hot: Wear of pistons and valve plate reduces volumetric efficiency. Hydraulic oil contamination is the primary cause.
  • Engine lugging & speed drop: Misadjusted or stuck TVC torque valve causes pump absorbed torque to exceed engine output.
  • Slow movement of whole machine: Stuck NC negative flow valve spool; worn internal pump parts; worn rear pilot pump leads to insufficient pilot pressure (special fault of PC200-5).
  • Abnormal noise & vibration: Blocked suction filter, air ingress causing cavitation; damaged pump bearing, piston & shoe or pilot gear pump.
  • Large case drain flow: Internal pump wear leads to high-pressure internal leakage.
  • Crawler drift: Uneven flow between front and rear pump, unbalanced TVC valve requiring servo piston shim adjustment.
