Excavator Hydraulic Pump 708-3S-00110 / 708-3S-00112 for Komatsu PC35, PC40, PC45MR-1
The PC40MR-1 is a Komatsu mini crawler excavator from the PC40MR/PC45MR platform. This hydraulic main pump is a tandem variable displacement piston pump that is fully integrated and includes a pilot pump (gear pump). The PC40MR-1 and PC45MR-1 models share the same main pump configuration, while PC40MR-2/PC50MR-2 represent the newer generation.
Common Faults & Symptoms
  • Weak movement / slow operation: Internal leakage from worn main pump pistons, valve plate, or slippers; insufficient pilot pump pressure causing abnormal displacement control
  • Pump abnormal noise / squealing: Insufficient suction or air ingress, contaminated oil, internal pump wear
  • Engine lugging / speed drop under load: Seized regulator or power control valve
  • High oil temperature: Severe main pump internal leakage
  • Oil leakage: Aged main shaft oil seal, worn end-cover O-rings
  • Jitter / pressure fluctuation: Air in the system, seized regulator, scored valve plate
