Installation & Verification Guidelines

Verify CAT part number and confirm main control valve assembly compatibility, including boom, arm, bucket, travel, swing spools, relief valves, and holding valves
New or remanufactured valves must include hydraulic bench test reports for pressure, flow, and internal leakage of each section
For remanufactured valves, confirm spools are honed, repaired, or new. Replace all O-rings
Inspect valve block for casting cracks and sand holes upon arrival. Seal oil ports to prevent dirt and contaminants from entering valve cavity
Secure valve firmly during transportation to avoid impact damage to valve block, port threads, and precision spools
Clean hydraulic tank and pipelines before installation, replace all hydraulic filters, and fully bleed air from hydraulic system
Test compound movements, cylinder drift, and system relief pressure after installation. Check for jerky operation, abnormal noise, and oil seepage
