Product Overview

The CAT C7.1 Common Rail EFI Engine Assembly is an inline 6-cylinder, 7.1L displacement, turbocharged and aftercooled power unit. It is specially matched for CAT 320GX, 329D2, 330GC, and 336GC excavators, delivering strong power output, low fuel consumption, and a stable electronic control system. Available in China Stage III and China Stage IV emission versions, with both new and remanufactured engine assemblies offered.

Common Faults (After-Sales Reference)
  • Injector wear / clogging — leads to insufficient power, black smoke, and hard starting.
  • Common rail pressure sensor failure — causes speed limitation and triggers ECM fault codes.
  • Turbocharger oil leakage.
  • Carbon accumulation and blockage in DPF on Stage IV units, causing torque derate.
  • Crankshaft / camshaft sensor damage — results in a no-start condition.
