Bulldozer Komatsu D60P-12 D65P-12 D65E-12 Control Valve Main Control Valve Distributor Valve 723-62-11102 723-62-11103 723-62-11100

The control valve of the D65 is the Main Control Valve (MCV) — the core valve group that controls all hydraulic actions of the machine. It distributes the pressure oil from the main pump to the working actuators — blade lift/tilt/tip, ripper and cooling fan — according to the operator's commands. Since the D65 is a blade-type machine, the main control valve mainly consists of multi-spool sliding valves (spool valves) mounted in a valve group beside the hydraulic tank.

Common Faults & Troubleshooting
  • A specific action is weak / not working: Stuck spool in that section, spool/sleeve wear causing internal leakage, damaged O-rings. First measure the outlet pressure of that section to diagnose.
  • All actions are weak: Usually caused by insufficient main pump pressure or a failed main Relief Valve pressure setting. Check system pressure first before disassembling the valve.
  • Erratic / jittery movement: Stuck spool, fatigued springs, unstable pilot control pressure, contaminated oil.
  • Oil leakage: Aged O-rings on valve body joints and spool seals, causing external seepage or internal leakage.
  • High oil temperature: Excessive internal leakage in the valve group, abnormal throttling.
Repair & Purchasing Recommendations
  • Minor faults: Clean the spool, replace the O-ring seal kit, lap the spool.
  • Scored spool / worn sleeve: Replace the spool parts or the complete valve assembly.
  • When ordering: Confirm the specific D65 sub-model (-12 / -15 / -16) and the original old part number (723-63-12100 is for -12; -15 uses 723-63-24100; they are not interchangeable across generations).
  • Assembly reference price: Genuine/compatible approx. US$830-3,980 depending on model.
